What we do

How it works

The one number worth knowing

NOAA Atlas 14 puts the one-hour, ten-year rainfall depth for downtown Orlando at 2.91 inches. The standard gutter sizing tables used across the trade are published against one inch per hour. Almost everything that goes wrong with gutter in this metro traces back to that gap, which is why it appears on nearly every page here rather than being buried in one technical guide.

What good gutter work looks like

• Sized to the roof, not to habit. The roof area feeding each run decides the trough size and the number of outlets. Copying whatever the builder used is how the original problem got there.
• Hidden hangers into sound wood. Spikes driven through the face into fascia that has been wet and dry for twenty years will let go. If the board is soft, the board is the job.
• Outlets where the water goes. Valleys and dormers concentrate flow. An outlet placed where that lands does more than upsizing the whole run.
• Discharge that clears the slab. Catching every drop and putting it eighteen inches from the wall has moved the problem, not solved it.
• A written price with the line items shown. Linear feet, trough size, corner count, downspout count, and what happens if the fascia turns out to be rotten.
